    P0052 sensor 2/1 heater circuit high

    2007 jeep wrangler jk unlimited x 3.8 v6, 152k miles
    Check engine light MIL P0052 sensor 2/1 heater circuit high

    Left side upstream o2 sensor, I believe the sensor is bad. How do I test it with a multimeter, anybody have correct values?

    Short of a hot plate, multiple temps off a known good sensor plus time and specific ohm readings I'd just replace it. The heater might have shorted out.

    150k miles good bet the heater circuit went bad.
    Alot of the gas jobs coming into my shop for HO2 codes is the heater failing. I watch the sensor output with a scanner in open and closed loop to see if it is reacting correctly.

    But my armchair diag without touching my own is replace the sensor

    I threw a part at it. New sensor, cleared the code and it came right back. First time it happened was right after the transmission was replaced. Dealer turned it off and it was good to go for a few months.

    Guess it's time to dig a little deeper or dealer visit yeah.

    Transmission was out, look and see if any wires got pinched at the top of the trans or see if any of the wires got crushed and never repaired.

    Been chasing this on mine for a bit as well.... replaced the sensors and ran through the wiring, with no positive results.

    Odd thing is that when I use the scanner and read the values, they are always within the .3-.8 range, which I believe to be the right range.

    I'll let you know if I ever figure this out.
