On WF I thought I read rubbing alcohol. Never did it myself.

Pulling them off and using goo-gone would probably work out just fine.

    From WF
"The trick is using 91% rubbing alcohol and some cotton balls. 70% rubbing alcohol won't do the job, I tried it. It requires some patience but really it's like 5-10 minutes per side.

It does leave some glue residue that's kind of white in color and that stuff is hard or maybe impossible to completely remove. I tried acetone, Goof Off (which seems to be just acetone), 91% isopropanol, Goo Gone, a scrub brush, you name it. Closest to removing the residue was Goof Off liberally applied with a cotton ball and then scrubbed with a stiff bristle "kitchen" type scrub brush. Fortunately this didn't eat up or etch the vinyl sun visor. But it also didn't remove all of the adhesive, or at least didn't remove whatever whitish discoloring was left. Frankly the 91% isopropanol worked as well as anything and it's under $3 for a bottle.

So the trick then is to remove the visors, remove the decals with isopropyl alcohol and cotton balls, clean as much of the adhesive off as you can with rubbing alcohol and then wipe down the entire thing with alcohol, mask the hard plastic on that side and the chrome spindle, and spray it with Duplicolor flat black "fabric and vinyl" interior paint. The result is almost perfect. You have to know where the decal was and get it at just exactly the right light and angle to even see a hint of the outline of the decal's original location, I think due to just texture difference on that part of the vinyl. Let's say it's 99.9% perfect, looks like there never was a sticker there.
