Lessons Learned WHile Putting Bushwacker Flat Fenders On

    First thing, READ THE DIRECTIONS.

I tore off all four flares, and started putting on all the support bracket things, only to have to take them all off when I realized I didn't put the "speed clips" on any of the holes. So that basically wasted 2 hours of my day.

Second, keep them in a warm area so they stay kind of bendy. Helps when installing them.

Third, if cutting the inners to reuse, cut them ever so slightly larger than the body. They go into the Bushwacker and if they are too short, they will blow around in the wind. I got the front and rear to work just fine.

Last, my lights actually work. I read a lot of posts about them not working. I reversed the wires. Black to White and White to Black. Inter-racial harmony.

Outside of that, and a few missing nuts, it wasn't too bad. Would have been a lot better if I read the directions before starting. I would have done a write up, but the directions pretty much nail it.

Oh, stock up on beer and bring a hammer with you just in case.

Looks great James. When do you take it in for the paint job?
Hey Dickhead, get out of the fast lane! Unless you're passing of course.

Dig it. Looks like you got some flex now with all that wheel well. Wanna do some flat fenders myself. This will more likely be the option I go. Would LOVE to put on some of those Metalcloak fenders, best looking after market ones IMO. Just could probably never bring myself to pay that much. Plus, after spending that much, rock rash would be last thing I'd want to put on those. Looks good James, now post up some flex shots. And not the self shot ones of you in front if a mirror.

My jeep doesn't flex. Combination of OME springs and a stupid fucking exhaust pipe that doesn't' clear the drive shaft.

I do have the exhaust spacers, just need to put them in. I have been holding off due to the ticking head. Last thing I want is to have them void my warranty because I fucked with the exhaust. We have a new dealer on board with our club as of this week. We are going to have a meet and great there this weekend. Gonna see if I can get them to fix it. They are far away, but my dealer, last I was in there a few months ago, said they wouldn't do anything till the light came on.

And Ian, my diamond plate full body trail armor is at the chromer as I type. Should be out by the end of the week.

Amazing how some of those warranty guys can keep a straight face over some of the stuff they opt out of. I hear ya tho, hope the new place is worth the drive. On the other hand, your panty problem just got worse.
