Engine wiring, corrugated loom tubing rotting and falling off Under hood heat?

Was doing routine maintenance and came across this. All the plastic loom tubing is completely missing from the throttle body wiring and the sensor. Not sure if it's getting hot enough to make it brittle or what. Five years and 126k miles....

Anybody else notice this on your rigs?

I power wash my engine bay once a year, spray it down LIBERALLY with 303 (like a pint) then drive it around... Everything looks so nice when it heats up and dissipates, plus I like to pretend that it's "conditioning" my plastics.

That was my second thought as I typed this. MIL has a 90's Chevy truck and she thought it needed a tune up, I had to replace one of the main vacuum lines and other various plastic parts because rats decided to build a nest in her prefilter and seemed to really enjoy the plasticy snacks. Difference is here is garaged and she rarely drives it. Ours is driven daily.

The loom around the alternator was the first to go on mine.I noticed it kicks out quite a bit off heat after winching or rocking the boomin system for awhile.I've been replacing mine about every 4 months!
