Fuck that. My girls, (wife and daughter) got in the hot tub last night. I climbed in a few minutes later. I was in there for 15 minutes and I got 15 fuckin mosquito bites. The girls didn't get a single bite and they were in longer than I was. WTF is up with that. Wife says it's because I'm so sweet. Fuckin pisses me off. Any thoughts why I get eatin the fuck up and they don't?

Fwiw. Same way with.me. I just bathe in off and get yelled at for making the bed sheets stink. My response is always, the day you start sticking your head under the sheets and sucking, is the day I'll stop putting on off.

Install a mosquito lamp and get some citronella candles. Problem solved, problem staying solved.

Oh, and lavender plants apparently help repel those blood sucking bastards. Plant some of them too.

Off makes these candles - they burn these little wafers. Anyways, living in FL, we have gotten really good at knowing what works best. But those Off Lanterns and light them about 30 minutes BEFORE you go outside to get in your hot tub and the fuckers wont be anywhere near there.

Oh and my wife is like you - they LOVE her.

We tried all the usual fixes in our yard. Citronella candles. Tiki torches. Off spray. Couple of different kinds of plants. Nothing really worked.
Then, we heard about a company called MosquitoNix. They can either come out twice a month and spray your yard, or they can install a 'misting system' around the fence line & under the eaves of the house, that automatically sprays 4 times a day.
Either way, they have a 100% no bites from mosquitos guarantee. We opted for the twice-a-month spray. The first spray, we went from numerous bites a night, to maybe one or two. Called them, they came out again and changed the formula of the spray. Didn't have a single bite after that. Cost for our 1/4 acre yard is about $125 a month. Money well spent, in my opinion. We are considering the automatic-spray system, as it also keeps other critters away (ie. spiders, gnats, flys, ticks, wasps, etc); and, it is organic-based.
