The Hammers in Johnson Valley, CA is home to 200,000 acres of some of the best rock crawling, desert racing, and camping in the world. The fight to keep it public is on-going, and can use all the support we can garner.
Please take a moment to visit
http://savethehammers.org/sth/ to see how you can help keep this precious area home to us off-roaders.
Click on the links tab to find your local congress person and make an appointment to see them on March 14th or 15th. We are trying to flood their appointment books with off-roaders for two days straight to let them know we don't want this land annexed by the Marine Corps 29 Palms base.
You can also donate to the legal defense fund so we can fight this in court.
At KOH this year, there were many opportunities to donate, and those of us out there took full advantage of that. The creator of the King of the Hammers even allowed EVERY team who showed up to race, whether they qualified or not, and donated their entry fees to the STH Legal Defense Fund. That came to approximately 65,000 dollars.
